Cellenis PRP vs Other Treatments

Reviewed by

This guide explains how Cellenis PRP with other common aesthetic and hair restoration options, including dermal fillers, microneedling, laser treatments, and hair transplant surgery. It is for UK-based readers who are weighing up regenerative treatments and want a calm, practical way to compare choices.

On This Page

Cellenis PRP is often described as a regenerative treatment because it uses a concentrated portion of your own blood, rich in platelets, to support tissue repair and collagen signalling. That can sound straightforward, yet it is frequently misunderstood, mainly because PRP is discussed alongside treatments that work in very different ways, such as fillers (which add volume), microneedling (which triggers controlled repair through micro-injury), lasers (which use energy to target pigmentation or texture), and hair (which follicles surgically).

Taking time to understand those differences matters, especially if you are comparison-shopping or trying to manage risk. Treatments can overlap in the concerns they address, but they vary in mechanism, pace of change, typical downtime, and how results are maintained. Without a clear framework, it is easy to compare on price, popularity, or marketing language rather than on whether a treatment approach fits the concern you are trying to .

In this guide, you will learn how Cellenis PRP is positioned relative to fillers, microneedling, lasers, and hair transplants, which concerns each option is commonly used for, and the practical trade-offs people usually weigh, including time, recovery, and treatment planning.

The Dilemma: Is PRP Right For You?

You want real results, not just promises. With so many treatments—, , lasers, hair transplants—it’s easy to feel lost. Before spending money, you need to know:

Get the answers before making a decision. Let’s dive in.

What is Cellenis PRP, and How Does it Work?

Ever if your body has the secret to reversing signs of ageing? It does. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy taps into your own biology to rejuvenate skin, restore hair, and speed up healing—without synthetic chemicals or surgery. Think of it as a turbo boost for your cells, using their natural abilities to repair and regenerate.

Imagine a microscopic army inside your blood, carrying growth factors like little construction workers. These platelets are responsible for healing wounds, repairing tissue, and stimulating collagen production. PRP is simply a concentrated version of these platelets, extracted from your own blood and injected where your body needs a little extra help.

The process? A small blood sample is drawn—just like a test. Then, using a high-speed centrifuge, the blood is spun down, separating the platelets from red and white blood cells. What’s left is liquid gold—PRP, packed with growth ready to stimulate tissue repair at a cellular level.

Not all PRP treatments are created equal. Cellenis PRP is engineered for purity and potency, a higher platelet concentration than many standard PRP systems. Less inflammation, more regeneration.

PRP doesn’t “fill” like dermal or resurface like lasers—it rewinds the clock from within. Whether for , thicker hair, or faster healing, Cellenis PRP is a natural solution with science-backed results.

Cellenis PRP Vs Dermal Fillers – Natural Vs Instant Volume

Aging sneaks up on everyone. One day, your skin feels firm and plump. The next, you’re noticing fine lines, sunken areas, and a little less definition. When it comes to restoring volume and youthfulness, two exist— and But they in completely different ways.

Think of them as scaffolding—lifting sagging areas, smoothing lines, and restoring lost volume. Common treatment areas include:

Results are immediate but temporary. Fillers last 6 months to 2 years, on the type and area . Over time, they dissolve naturally, requiring maintenance treatments.

PRP, on the other hand, is like fertilizer for your skin. Instead of adding artificial volume, it stimulates natural collagen production. Your blood is drawn, processed to isolate platelets, and injected back into targeted areas. Over weeks, your skin thickens, firms up, and repairs itself from within.

Longevity: PRP results take longer to appear but last 6-12 months or more.

Natural Composition: PRP is 100% your own blood, reducing risk of reactions.

Safety: Fillers can migrate or create lumps. PRP is absorbed naturally, minimising complications.

Go for PRP if you want a natural, gradual rejuvenation. Pick fillers for instant volume and definition. Some combine both – using PRP for skin health and fillers for structure.

Cellenis PRP vs Microneedling – Skin Regeneration Showdown

Imagine your skin as a worn-out canvas. Years of sun exposure, aging, and environmental damage take their toll. Two treatments promise to bring it back to life: Cellenis PRP and . But which one is the ultimate skin ?

Think of microneedling as controlled skin injury. A device with hundreds of tiny needles creates micro-punctures in the skin, triggering the body’s healing response. The result? Increased collagen production, improved , and reduced

Microneedling alone is powerful, but adding PRP supercharges the process. PRP is rich in growth factors, drawn from your blood, and injected or applied post-microneedling. It’s like watering a garden—the opens the soil, PRP delivers the .

Healing Time – PRP reduces and speeds up recovery.

Effectiveness – PRP stimulates deeper regeneration, boosting long-term results.

Synergy Effect – Microneedling creates channels, PRP fills them with healing factors.

Pairing Cellenis PRP with microneedling is the ultimate skin-renewing power move.

Cellenis PRP vs Laser Therapy – The Battle for Skin Perfection

If your skin could talk, it might be begging for a reset. Years of sun damage, fine lines, and uneven texture—it all adds up. Two treatments promise to turn back the clock: Cellenis PRP and laser therapy. But which one delivers the ultimate glow-up?

Lasers are like precision tools, using light energy to resurface the skin, boost collagen, and break down pigmentation. Depending on the type, some lasers remove the top skin layers (ablative) while others work beneath the surface (non-ablative).

While lasers force the skin to regenerate, PRP works with the body’s healing process. Platelet-rich plasma, drawn from your own blood, is injected into the skin to collagen production from within. No heat. No synthetic chemicals. Just pure, biological rejuvenation.

Downtime – PRP is minimally invasive, while laser resurfacing can take weeks to heal.

Suitability – PRP is safe for all skin tones, while lasers can cause pigmentation issues in darker skin.

Results – PRP takes time but improves skin texture, elasticity, and hydration long-term.

Cellenis PRP vs Hair Transplants – Which One is Best for Hair Loss?

Losing hair isn’t just about looks. It’s confidence, identity—sometimes even a part of who you are. So, when the mirror starts showing more scalp than strands, the big question hits: PRP or a hair transplant? Let’s break it down.

Think of a hair transplant like moving plants from one part of the garden to another. Healthy hair follicles, usually from the back of the head, are surgically extracted and where hair is thinning or missing. It’s a permanent solution, but there are things to consider.

PRP, on the other hand, doesn’t add hair—it revives it. It’s like feeding your scalp the nutrients it needs to bring weak, thinning follicles back to life. Your own blood is drawn, to concentrate growth factors, and into the scalp to stimulate natural hair regrowth.

Non-surgical – No incisions, no stitches, just injections.

Great for early-stage – follicles, preventing further thinning.

Minimal downtime – Mild for a day or two, but back to normal fast.

Final Verdict – Is Cellenis PRP the Right Treatment for You?

Choosing a cosmetic treatment isn’t just about science—it’s about you. What do you want? Instant results? A long-term investment in your skin and hair health? If you’re looking for something that works with your body, not against it, Cellenis PRP might be exactly what you need.

PRP isn’t a one-size-fits-all fix, but it’s a powerful tool for the right candidates.

Not everyone is a match for PRP. Sometimes, another approach makes more sense.

This isn’t a quick fix—it’s a long-term game-changer. It regenerates, repairs, and strengthens naturally. If you want something safe, effective, and backed by science, PRP is one of the best investments you can make in your skin and hair health.

Still unsure? The best way to know is by talking to an expert. Book a consultation today and find out if Cellenis PRP is right for you!

My Red-Carpet ritual: Winter edition

By , Founder of Harley Street Injectables

Winter has its own rhythm – colder air, central heating, long clinic days and late events, and the red-carpet calendar always seems to gather momentum at the same time. It’s the point in the year when I’m going straight from full days in clinic to evenings out, and the lighting doesn’t give much room to hide.

For me, red-carpet prep is all about intentional, well-timed treatments that make the skin look fresh, lifted, and quietly luminous, the kind of you can’t fake under flash.

This is the ritual I return to every time.

A few weeks out, I like to create a soft of structure – nothing dramatic, just a gentle tightening that restores the contours winter tends to blur.

This is when I book .

It’s one of my favourite treatments because it gives that subtle, sculpted tightness along the jawline and cheeks – the kind that reads beautifully under cameras but never looks “done.” London winter can leave the skin feeling a little lax or puffy, and HIFU brings everything back into focus. It creates that held, lifted quality that makes every angle look intentional.

If my under-eyes are hinting at how long the week has been, and winter lighting loves to emphasise this, I’ll add a touch of in this window.

They’ve been talked about <a href="https://calox.com/category/nov<a href="https://Www.CerebrolysinCerebrolysin.com”>Fagron DNA Acne Testing” nickname, but behind the headlines, they’re simply brilliant for this area: a little collagen support, a little elasticity, a little more smoothness so makeup doesn’t cling. It creates a kind of refreshed that shows up beautifully in photographs.

This is when the resurfacing steps in and the skin begins to look more polished.

is my go-to at the mark. It leaves my skin refined and polished without irritation, pores, better texture, and that clean, even surface makeup loves.

I often pair it with in the same week. Genesis quietly elevates everything: it softens redness, smooths uneven tone, and gives the skin that soft-focus radiance that looks incredible on camera. It’s like the complexion equivalent of good .

Together, Fire & Ice and Genesis create that “editorial skin” finish, smooth, calm, and naturally luminous.

Winter can make the skin look flat, and this brings it back to life without a single minute of recovery time. This is when I reach for the It leaves the complexion glossy, plump, and perfectly balanced, the kind of luminosity that makes makeup glide and light catch in all the right places!

It gives that final, refined sheen that reads incredibly well under lights.

This ritual works because it’s layered, thoughtful, and timed to perfection: sculpting first, regeneration next, refinement in the middle, and glow at the end.

Our experienced doctors will carefully select the best product to match your lip texture and shape. Some clients simply want to the definition that has been lost with age and improve the lip texture and our Teosyal RHA2 or 2 product are perfect for this. Others want an Instagram pout and for this our doctors will often select a Teosyal Kiss which gives real volume and lasts up to 9 months. All our and dentists use numbing cream to make the treatment and our dentists can even freeze you up completely to ensure the is painless.

Cheeks

Cheek filler can be used to re-volumise the front of the cheek which often flattens with age. A rounder front of the cheek will instantly make the face look more lifted and youthful. Cheek filler can also be used to create beautifully sculpted definition or even give a more “heart shaped” outline to the face. Our Juvéderm products can last up to 12 months and our Voluma or Teosyal Ultra Deep products can last up to 18 months.

Nose to Mouth Lines/Marionettes

The lines that extend from the nose to the mouth and the marionette lines which extend from the mouth can both be very effectively treated with dermal filler. Our cannula technique minimises any bruising or swelling and means our doctors get a beautifully smooth result. This is one of the most popular areas that our doctors treat with dermal filler and it gives an anti-ageing effect.

Chin

Defining and improving someone’s profile is the latest trend in aesthetics and this starts with ensuring the chin rests in line, or just behind, the lower lip when viewed from the side profile. Length can also be added to the chin with dermal filler to elongate a rounder-shaped face. The chin itself can also lose its bony structure and become dimpled with age. This can be treated with a combination of a thick dermal filler like our Teosyal Ultimate and Botox to smooth the surface.

Jawline

Perhaps you are noticing that your has lost shape and definition, something that can happen with age. This can lead to sagging and jowls developing which can be disguised with carefully placed dermal filler. Filler placed at the angle of your jaw also sharpens your side profile and when combined with chin filler, can make a dramatic improvement to your profile. Our Juvéderm can last up to 12 months and our Voluma or Teosyal Ultra Deep products can last up to 18 months.

Smokers / Lipstick Lines

Superficial lines above the upper lip, otherwise known as “barcode lines” can be easily treated with a small amount of dermal filler. These lines form because of the muscular of the mouth when smoking, puckering the lips or whistling. Dermal filler restores the volume around the mouth and plumps out these superficial lines. The lips can also look and feel “deflated” and a soft Lip filler can treat this and improve the texture of the lips. Combining dermal filler in the mouth area with Botox will give the best long-term results. The addition of the Botox gives a long-term preventative effect to stop new barcode wrinkles forming.

Tear Trough

You might notice as you get older that the area around your eyes, called the tear trough, can become sunken. This can lead to the appearance of dark circles, making you look more tired. Hollowing and darkening of the under-eye area can be by our skilled doctors using artistically placed dermal filler. We only use specialist under-eye for this delicate region like Teosyal Redensity II or Aliaxin SR and specialise in a cannula technique which is the safest way to administer the treatment and reduces the risk of bruising.

Glabella/Frown Line

Botox is the best preventative option for the crease between the eyebrows but if the line is too deep then dermal filler may need to be used, in addition, to create the desired result. This is a very delicate and risky area if the correct technique is not used. Our doctors all have detailed anatomical knowledge and are skilled at filler in the glabella area.

Non-Surgical Nose Reshaping

If you don’t like the way your nose looks but do not want a surgical rhinoplasty, this treatment might be what you are looking for. Using a dermal filler around the nose can help reshape it without the need for surgery. A small amount of filler can treat minor and can also be used to fine-tune results after surgery. A nose tip, a twisted nose, eliminating a bump and thinning the nose tip can all be achieved with dermal filler alone. The procedure is fully non-surgical and therefore there is very little downtime and immediate results.

Temples

Temples are one of the areas which hollow with age, as the underlying bone is lost and the area sinks in. A beautiful thick dermal filler like Juvéderm Voluma can very effectively plump out these temples into their previously more rounded shape. It may not be an area that many clients come in requesting but our doctors often identify temple hollowing and recommend treatment with filler. Clients are amazed what a transformation this small tweak can make.

Dermal Filler for Hand Rejuvenation

The hands can sometimes be a dead giveaway of someone’s age and now there are many non-surgical solutions to combat this. Dermal filler can plump the hands to reduce a bony appearance, skinboosters and Profhilo can improve the quality and texture of the hands and our Obagi medical grade creams can reduce the sun damage and dark spots. This combination of treatments will give a full hand transformation.

Liquid facelift

This specialist White Swan technique uses dermal filler in multiple areas and with thicknesses to create an overall non-surgical “facelift effect”. After a bespoke consultation, the areas of volume loss will be identified and a treatment plan constructed, mapping out all the required treatment areas. Multiple syringes of dermal filler are used to achieve this lifting and overall anti-ageing effect.

First, the client has a full with a White Swan dentist and ‘before’ photos are taken.

The client then has numbing cream placed over the area. As dentists, White Swan practitioners can numb the area with a dental block, making the procedure completely pain free.

Then the area is treated with the dermal filler until the client is happy with the appearance. It is important for the clinician to manipulate and smooth all the filler gel so that there are no lumps and bumps. The area will be red and for 1-2 days and there may be some bruising, which can be reduced with the use of Arnica.

After a week the filler gel will be completely set and smooth and the effect can be fully appreciated.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is an independent regulatory body in England responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and regulating health and social care services. It was established under the Health and Social Care Act 2008 to ensure that healthcare meet essential standards of and safety.

The CQC oversees a wide range of providers — including hospitals, GP practices, care homes, mental health services, and independent surgical clinics. It carries out inspections to evaluate compliance with fundamental standards and has the authority to take enforcement action, including issuing warning notices, imposing fines, and closing services that fail to meet required standards.

What a ‘Good’ Rating Means

A ‘Good’ rating from the CQC is awarded following a formal inspection that assesses services across five key questions:

Safe — Are protected from harm and abuse?

Effective — Does care, treatment and support good outcomes?

Caring — Do staff involve patients and treat them with compassion and dignity?

Responsive — Are organised to meet the needs of the people using them?

Well-led — Is the service well managed and continuously improving?

Achieving a ‘Good’ rating across these areas that Centre for Surgery delivers care that is safe, effective, compassionate, and well-organised.

Why Regulatory Compliance Matters

When choosing a cosmetic surgery clinic, CQC is one of the most important indicators of a safe and well-run service. All surgical procedures at Centre for Surgery are performed by GMC specialist-registered consultant plastic surgeons at our purpose-built Baker Street facility, which operates to hospital-level standards of safety and hygiene.

Our CQC ‘Good’ rating, combined with our surgeons’ specialist registrations and our comprehensive aftercare programmes, provides the assurance that your care is in qualified, regulated hands.

Frequently Asked Questions About CQC Registration

Yes. Centre for Surgery is a registered location with the Care Quality Commission under location ID . Our current rating is ‘Good’, awarded following a formal inspection assessing all five key areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. You can verify this directly on the .

Yes. Any provider carrying out regulated activities — including surgery, anaesthesia, and diagnostic procedures — must be registered with the CQC. It is illegal to carry out regulated activities without registration. CQC registration is therefore a baseline legal requirement, not an optional accreditation. If a UK clinic cannot provide evidence of CQC registration, patients should not proceed with there.

The CQC uses four rating levels: Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement, and Inadequate. A ‘Good’ rating means the service is performing well and meeting the CQC’s expectations across all five inspection areas. An ‘Outstanding’ rating is to services that are performing exceptionally and delivering care that goes significantly beyond what is . The majority of UK clinics and hospitals hold a ‘Good’ rating — it is the benchmark of high-quality, safe care.

The frequency of CQC inspections varies depending on the provider’s risk profile, previous ratings, and any concerns raised. Providers rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ are typically inspected less frequently than those with lower ratings. The CQC also carries out unannounced inspections and can inspect at any time if concerns are reported. Ratings remain valid until the next inspection and are on the CQC website following each visit.

For independent surgical clinics like Centre for Surgery, a CQC inspection is comprehensive and covers the full patient pathway. Inspectors review clinical governance, safety protocols (including WHO surgical safety checklists), infection control procedures, consent processes, anaesthesia practices, staff training and qualifications, patient records, complaint handling, and the overall leadership and management of the service. Inspectors speak with patients, clinical staff, and management, and review both on-site and remotely.

Yes — inspection reports are published publicly on the CQC website. You can . The report sets out the inspectors’ findings across each of the five key questions, including what was working well and any areas where improvements were required.

CQC registration means a clinic is subject to ongoing independent oversight. It provides patients with several protections: the knowledge that minimum safety standards must be met and maintained; access to published inspection reports so you can make an informed judgement; and a formal mechanism for raising if standards fall. Clinics that are not CQC registered are operating outside the regulatory framework — patients treated at unregistered providers have significantly fewer protections if something goes wrong.
